Ukraine hammers Russia with more drone strikes despite Trump criticism

Ukraine launched over 1,000 drones targeting Russian infrastructure, setting oil terminals ablaze in St Petersburg, killing one person and injuring five.

The drone strikes followed the US resuming intelligence sharing with Kyiv, for which Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude.

In response, Russia launched at least 76 strikes targeting Ukraine's energy, oil, and gas sectors within 24 hours.

Donald Trump strongly criticised the Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries.

The US president described them as a disgrace and accused Zelensky of prolonging the war.
